ok had my chameleon a week now but i haven’t seen him eat i know he sees the crickets and he also super green?
something i have seen him do is drink and drink not a lot. should i clean his cage then see if that helps or what? is there a possibility he just doesn’t eat in front of me?
Cleaning his cage will not help. It will only be a further disruption and stress and delay his acclimating to his new environment. It is quite possible that he is eating when you are out of sight. I believe you said in an earlier question that he is threat gaping at you. He is clearly not completely comfortable yet and views you as a potential predator. He is unlikely to eat in your presence until that changes. Try to give him some space and time and definitely do not handle him until he settles in and starts feeding for you.
You cannot rely completely on colour to assess his mood and health. I have seen veileds near death that remained a placid green colour. His behaviour is a better indicator.
